Minimum Seed Count: 25
The Jade Bush Bean grows as a compact, upright plant, typically about 16–20 inches tall, with a neat, bushy shape. Its leaves are a rich emerald green, broad, and slightly glossy, forming a lush canopy that shades the soil below.
The beans themselves are slender, smooth, and straight, about 6–7 inches long, with a deep jade-green color that makes them look especially vibrant and fresh. They grow in clusters along the stems, standing out vividly against the darker foliage. The pods are firm and crisp, with a tender snap when broken.
When the plant is in bloom, you’ll see small, delicate white blossoms, which later give way to the developing pods. The beans hang gracefully, easy to spot and harvest, almost like green ornaments nestled among the leaves.
🌿 Planting Guide:
When to Plant:
-
Direct sow outdoors after the last frost when soil has warmed to at least 65–85°F.
-
Succession plant every 2–3 weeks for a continuous harvest through summer.
Soil Needs:
-
Prefers loose, well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
-
Ideal soil pH: 6.0–6.8.
How to Plant:
-
Sow seeds 1 inch deep and 2–4 inches apart.
-
Space rows about 18–24 inches apart.

No need for trellises—plants stay compact and self-supporting.
Care:
-
Keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.
-
Mulch to retain moisture and keep weeds down.
-
Fertilize lightly—too much nitrogen makes leafy plants with fewer beans.
Days to Maturity:
-
55–60 days from sowing to harvest.
Harvest:
-
Pick beans when pods are smooth, slender, and about 6–7 inches long.
-
Harvest often to encourage continuous production.
Tip:

Jade Bush Beans are heat-tolerant, staying tender and stringless even in hot weather—great for mid-summer harvests!
