Red Swan Bean is an heirloom variety known for being one of the only truly red shaded beans on the market! The pods will start off a light green and slowly turn to a red tint. If given direct light, they will become darker. A fast grower and one that can be grown in smaller spaces due to its bushy habbit!

• Planting time: Direct sow after last frost

• Soil: Well-drained soil with added organic matter

• Sun: Full sun

• Spacing: Sow 1 inch deep, 4–6 inches apart

• Support: None, Bush Variety

• Water: Moderate, consistent moisture

• Days to maturity: 75–90 days for dry beans

Harvest pods early for snap beans, or allow them to dry on the vine for shelling and storage.
