A delicious Romaine variety that has been around for as long as the early 1800s! Tender leaves become tightly folded with large crunchy white ribs that are full of juicy flavor! We have never seen a romaine variety hold up to heat so well, with heads lasting most of the summer in our garden with-ought bolting! Leaves have a slight sweetness to them with little bitterness. A reliable heirloom that is best grown in early spring, or late summer, to early fall.
