An heirloom Japanese variety. Shishito pepper plants produce 3-4" thin walled wrinkled fruits. Peppers start out bright green, and mature to a deep red that eventually give off sweet and spicy undertones! These are mostly mild peppers, but do give off a smoky taste, with a little heat. These peppers are perfect for smoking, roasting, grilling, or even pickling, as the skin is very crunchy, but hollow on the inside! This variety is becoming rather popular in the US, as it is easy to grow, produces an abundant crop, and has great taste, that is perfect in limitless dishes! An all around amazing pepper!
